Committed to Responsible and Conflict-Free Materials

At CemeCon Scandinavia, we are dedicated to ethical sourcing and responsible business practices that contribute to a sustainable future. We believe that excellence goes beyond product performance - it includes how we impact people and the planet.

Our PVD coatings incorporate various metals sourced from around the world. While these materials are crucial for the superior performance of our coating machines, we are committed to ensuring they are obtained responsibly, without contributing to conflicts or human rights violations.

In alignment with EU Regulation (EU) 2017/821 – which mandates EU importers of certain minerals like tantalum, tin, tungsten, and gold to source from responsible and conflict-free suppliers – we are dedicated to ethical sourcing practices. We use only minimal amounts of these materials, but we recognize the importance of responsible sourcing, no matter how small the quantity is. Although we do not purchase these minerals directly from mines or processing facilities, we work closely with our suppliers to ensure they comply with ethical guidelines and regulations like the Dodd-Frank Act.

We require all our suppliers to conduct thorough due diligence regarding conflict minerals. They are expected to provide declarations using the Conflict Minerals Reporting Template (CMRT) or equivalent documentation confirming their commitment to responsible sourcing. This approach promotes transparency and accountability throughout our supply chain.

By embracing ethical practices and fostering strong partnerships, CemeCon Scandinavia is committed to making a positive impact on communities worldwide and advancing sustainability within our industry.
