Extended capacity for sputter coating
New coating unit
In response to the growing demand for superior sputter and HiPIMS coatings, especially for molds and dies, CemeCon Scandinavia started its 20th anniversary year by extending coating capacity by more than 33%.
A new coating unit installed just before Christmas substantially increases our capacity for producing hard ceramic coatings and enables shorter delivery times and better service, specifically for Cr-based coatings and DLC coatings.
Understanding the critical role of cleaning and preparation in the coating process, we’ve also enhanced our capacity and variety for cleaning and prepping parts. By investing and integrating cleaning lines, we are now better equipped to handle a wide variety of surface conditions, particularly for plastic molding tools.
We also added new blasting units for pre-treatment and post-treatment of the surfaces, to increase the quality and adhesion of the coating and to enhance the demolding.
