Grøn cirkulær omstilling

– A value chain process with PVD-coated tools for extrusion and plastic molding.

29. January 2020 – 1. February

The project is a collaboration with Plast Center Denmark, where CemeCon Scandinavia, in a collective process with other companies, is working on becoming greener. Through the project, we will develop a green circular business model with a focus on collaboration opportunities, value chain cooperation, and common professional interests and challenges. At CemeCon Scandinavia, through the project, we will look both towards our customers and our own production with the aim of minimizing CO2 emissions, resource consumption, and energy use.

Investigation of energy optimizations in production facilities

Through the project, we will receive advice on analyzing the company’s resources, identify our potential for resource optimization, and develop a circular business model and a plan for its implementation.

Case calculation on environmental savings through the use of surface treatment

Through the project, we will coat selected extrusion and injection molding tools at the other participating companies with the aim of comparing and documenting lifespan, wear, energy consumption, including temperatures and pressures, grinding properties in relation to plastic (including experiments with recycled plastic), as well as process time before and after coating.

The GCO program is supported by the EU, the European Regional Development Fund.
